Why a creator sees "no current campaigns" on their Live Site
Summary
A creator opens their Live Site and sees an empty dashboard that reads No Current Campaigns instead of the activation you expected them to work on. This is almost always a state problem rather than a broken link. Inviting a creator is not the same thing as placing them in the activation, and the creator only sees the activation once three things are true at the same time.
Description
You reach out to a creator, send them their Live URL, and they reply that the page is empty or that there is nothing there for them. The brand can see the activation inside GRIN, so the link looks correct, but the creator sees no campaigns at all on their side.
Resolution
Check the following three points in this order. Each one on its own is enough to leave the creator with an empty Live Site, so work through all of them before assuming the link is at fault.
- Confirm the activation is published. An activation that is still in an unpublished state is not visible to creators, even when they have already been associated with it.
- Confirm that today's date falls inside the activation's date range. If the activation has not started yet, or if its end date has already passed, the creator sees nothing on their Live Site. Adjust the date range if the activation should be running now.
- Confirm the creator has been added to the activation and then activated. Sending an outreach email or an invitation does not place a creator into the activation, and being added is still not the last step. The creator has to be activated before the activation appears for them.
If a proposal is part of the flow, add the creator to the activation before you ask them to open their Live URL. A creator who opens the Live URL first will only see the empty dashboard, and they will need to open the link again after you have added them.
Cause
Inviting a creator and placing a creator into an activation are two separate actions in GRIN. The Live Site renders an activation for a creator only when the activation is published, the current date is inside the activation's date range, and that specific creator has been added to the activation and activated. When any of those conditions is missing, the Live Site has nothing to show and falls back to the empty No Current Campaigns dashboard.
