Where to find affiliate links and discount codes

Updated by Michel from GRIN

Affiliate and discount code settings live in two different places. The program wide view is in the top navigation, and the per brand setup is on the brand card.

The program wide view

In the top navigation, open Program and choose Affiliates. The page is titled Affiliate Dashboard.

It opens with a Reporting overview showing Revenue, Approved Creators, Conversions and Commissions Paid, then a list of creators split into two tabs, Approved and Pending. The list has columns for Contact, Links, Codes, Commission Amount, Total Revenue and Total Conversions, plus an Import Creators button.

The Affiliate Settings button in the top right opens the templates used across the program, with tabs for Discount Codes and Affiliate Links and a brand selector so you set them one brand at a time.

The per brand setup

Click Brands in the top navigation. Each brand appears as a card, and the row of icons at the bottom of the card is how you reach its setup. Hover an icon to see its name.

  • Edit Brand, the brand details wizard
  • Products
  • Discount Codes
  • Affiliate Links
  • Connection Settings, the ecommerce connection

The Affiliate Links icon opens Affiliate Link Groups for that brand. Each group shows its name, the destination and conversion count under Details, the Payout, the number of affiliate links, and the start and end dates.

The commission rate a creator earns is a property of the link group, shown in the Payout column, not of the individual creator. If a creator's commission looks wrong, check the group they belong to first.

Discount codes

The Discount Codes icon opens Discount Code Groups for that brand. Each row shows the group name and creation date, Total Codes, whether it uses Auto Creation, and the discount details. Every row has three actions:

  • Manage Codes, the individual codes in the group
  • Show History, the change history of the group
  • Edit Group, the group settings

New groups are created with the Create Group button.

Why the Discount Codes icon may be missing

Discount codes depend on an ecommerce store being connected to that brand. GRIN states the requirement on the screen itself: You must have an ecommerce store integration in order to use discount codes.

On a brand with no store connected, the brand card shows only three icons, Edit Brand, Products and Affiliate Links, and there is no way to reach discount codes by clicking. Connect the store first, using Edit Brand and its Ecommerce Account step, and the Discount Codes and Connection Settings icons appear.

Where to find Payments in GRIN covers what you owe creators once their conversions are recorded.
