Troubleshooting: GRIN Won't Load, Blank Screen, or Trouble Signing In
Use this page when a page is blank, a button does nothing, or something will not load. Try a private window (also called incognito), another network, and another browser. The full list below starts with a refresh, because that fixes many of these on its own.
If one of those checks works, the problem was your browser or your network. If you already tried them, tell support which ones. There is no need to repeat them.
This page is not for a payment status, a tax form, a campaign invitation, or a message you think is fake. Those have their own pages.
Quick fixes (try in this order)
- Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac), and notice whether the whole app is affected or just one page. That detail helps support later if you need it.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then sign out and sign back in. This resolves most loading and blank-screen issues.
- Try a different browser or device.
- Open GRIN in a private or incognito window. One exception: if you are verifying your account and keep being asked to verify, do not use a private window. It asks you to verify again every time, because it does not keep cookies. See Trouble signing in below.
- Confirm your connection is fine (other sites load, try another network) and use an up-to-date browser.
Trouble signing in
- If GRIN sends you back to the login screen during setup or after a while, just log in again. For security, GRIN re-checks your login if you have been signed in for more than 10 minutes, which is common around two-factor authentication.
- GRIN allows one active session at a time. Signing in on another browser or device ends your previous session, which can feel like being logged out repeatedly. Stick to one browser, and ask your Account Manager if your team needs additional logins.
- To reset your password, use the Forgot password link on the login screen. Your login email cannot be changed inside GRIN, so contact support or your Account Manager (see Managing Your Login Credentials).
- Creators who keep being asked to verify their account are usually hitting a cookie issue, and the verification email link expires after 1 hour (see Verifying Your Account).
If only one page or feature will not load
It may be a temporary problem with that section. Refresh, and if it persists, contact support and tell them exactly which page. Very large data sets can also make some views slow to load, and Creator Search has a built-in daily limit for stability.
If GRIN is down for you or your whole team
This can be a temporary service incident. Check for a status banner in the app. GRIN posts one during confirmed incidents. If there is no banner and the steps above do not help, contact support.
Contact support
When the steps above do not fix it, reach GRIN support through the Help option in the app, or your Account Manager. To help them move fast, include: the exact page or URL and whether it is one section or the whole app, a screenshot of the blank screen or error, your browser and version and operating system, the steps you already tried, and your brand or account name plus the affected user's login email and roughly when it started.
