Editing Discount Codes

Updated by Dan

Once you've created discount codes, you can Edit them at any time. You can also delete discount codes if you no longer need them.

What You'll Need

  • Existing discount codes you want to edit. For more information on creating discount codes, see Discount Codes.

How to Do It

1. Navigate to your Brand, then select Discount Codes from the sidebar.

2. Find the discount code group you want to edit codes in and select View Codes.

3. Find the code you want to edit and:

  • Select the pencil icon to edit the code.

  • Select the X icon to delete the code.

4. If editing the code, update the following fields and select Save:

  • Discount Code: The code itself.

  • Type: The type of discount the code applies.

    • Percentage: A percentage discount off the total. Enter the percentage in the Amount field.

    • Fixed Amount: A fixed dollar amount off the total. Enter the amount in the Amount field.

    • Free Shipping: Free shipping on the order.

    • Buy X Get Y: A discount that applies when a certain number of items are purchased.

  • Amount: The discount amount. Only available for Percentage and Fixed Amount types.

  • Applies To: What the discount applies to.

    • Entire Order

    • Specific Collections: Select specific collections the discount applies to.

    • Specific Products: Select specific products the discount applies to.

  • Minimum Requirements: Whether the discount requires a minimum purchase amount or quantity.

    • Minimum Purchase Amount

    • Minimum Quantity of Items

  • Customer Eligibility: Who the discount can be used by.

    • Everyone

    • Specific Customer Segments

    • Specific Customers

  • Usage Limits: Whether there are limits on how many times the code can be used.

    • Limit number of times this discount can be used in total

    • Limit to one use per customer

  • Active Dates: The dates the discount code is active.

Caution: For Shopify stores, editing a discount code that is currently assigned to a creator will update both the code in GRIN and in Shopify. For non-Shopify stores, editing a discount code in GRIN will only update the code in GRIN and not in your store. Make sure to also update the code in your store if needed.

That's it! The discount code should now be updated. You can also see all the discount code groups for your Brand and manage them from the Discount Codes page.

Additionally, if you want to bulk-edit codes, you can use the Import/Export feature. To use this feature, select a discount code group and select Import/Export. This will open a dialog where you can export your existing codes and edit them, or import new codes. For more information, see Discount Codes.

You can also reassign a code to a different creator from the Discount Codes page. To do this, select a discount code group and select View Codes. Find the code you want to reassign and select the person icon. This will open a dialog where you can search for and select the creator you want to assign the code to. For more information, see Discount Codes.
