Why isn't an Audience Report available for a creator?

Updated by Dan

GRIN's Audience Reports give you demographic and audience-quality insights for a creator directly from their connected social platform. If you open a creator's profile and the Audience Reports card isn't showing, it's almost always one of a few expected reasons rather than an error. Here's how to tell which one applies.

The Audience Reports card needs all of the following

For the card to appear on a creator's profile, all of these must be true:

  • Audience Reports are enabled for your account. This is part of your GRIN plan, with a monthly report limit (you'll see your usage, e.g. "706 / 800 reports used this month," when the feature is active).
  • The creator has at least one supported social network on their profile — Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. This can be a connected or a discovered profile; the creator does not need to have authorized/OAuth-connected their account for the card to appear.
  • The profile is a creator (influencer) profile, not a manager/agent contact.
  • The creator does not have a completed data-removal request on file (see below).

If the card is missing, work down that list — in practice the last item is the one that surprises people.

The most common reason: a completed data-removal request

If a creator has asked to have their personal data removed from GRIN and that request has been fulfilled, GRIN suppresses their profile reporting — including Audience Reports — going forward. This is intentional and tied to honoring the creator's data-removal request, so the Audience Reports card is hidden for that creator even though everything else (the feature, their social handles, their follower count) looks normal.

This is why you can have a creator with a large, valid Instagram or TikTok following and still see no Audience Reports card: a data-removal request was completed for them at some point.

What to do

  • If you need audience insights for that creator, the best path is to ask the creator (or their talent manager) to share their own platform insights directly, or to re-establish the relationship and data permissions with the creator.
  • If you believe the creator should not have a data-removal request on file, reach out to GRIN Support and we can confirm the status on the account.

Other reasons the card may not appear

  • You've reached your monthly Audience Report limit. Usage resets monthly; the limit is shown on the card for creators who are eligible.
  • The creator has no Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube on their profile. Audience Reports are only available for those platforms.
  • The contact is a manager/agent rather than a creator. Reports are generated for creator profiles.

Still not sure?

If you've checked the above and a creator who should be eligible still isn't showing the Audience Reports card, contact GRIN Support with the creator's name and profile link and we'll confirm exactly which condition applies.
